George Boe

George Boe, age 48, of Twin Valley, MN, died Thursday, September 2, 2010, at St. Francis Medical Center, Breckenridge, MN. George James Boe, the son of Harold and Beverly Boe, was born June 6, 1962 in Ada, MN. As a child he grew up and attended school in Gary, MN. After graduating with the class of 1981, George worked on area farms and began working construction. He was employed with Meineke-Johnson Construction Company for several years before starting his own company. George has owned and operated G B Construction Company, doing concrete and building projects for nearly 15 years. He also kept busy driving beet truck and helping on the family farm whenever possible. George loved the outdoors, especially 4-wheeling, tubing, and deer hunting each year. He also enjoyed riding horses. He cherished the relationship he was able to have with his grandson, Ethan, and a special little buddy, “Henry.” Simply put, George just liked spending time with friends. His wonderful sense of humor and heart of gold were treasured by all who knew him. George is survived by three sons: Brian Olson-Boe of Moorhead, MN, Nicholas (Heather) Olson-Boe of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Nathan Boe of Twin Valley; his mother, Beverly Boe of Fertile, MN; two brothers, Jim (Nikee) Boe of Twin Valley, and Joe (Cherie) Boe of Gary; two sisters, Penny Halstad and Terry Baumgartner, both of Fertile; one grandson, Ethan; a special little buddy, Kadance “Henry” Bendickson; a dear friend, Lois Buschette and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by all his grandparents; Gladys Fontaine, Joseph Mortenson, Hazel Boe, and George Boe Sr.; and his father, Harold. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 8th at 10:30am in Gary Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Ahola officiating. Alden Anderson will serve as organist with Dione Rasmussen as soloist. Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Boe, Shane Olson, Steve Wenschlag, Loren Lene, Dalen Thronson, and Brent Dahl. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 7th from 5pm to 7pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm at Gary Lutheran Church. Visitation will also be one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
